How do I deposit funds into my account?

For funds transfers via Internet Bank, Telegraphic Transfers and Bill Payment, indicate only your IG trading account number, without additional details in order to facilitate our client ledger team to credit the funds into the correct account.

Restrictions:

• Third party payments are strictly prohibited. Funds will be returned to the third party payer and further proof of transfer will be required.
• We are unable to accept cards where the cardholder is US resident
• Cheques from foreign bank accounts or those deposited without proof sent to us may take up to ten business days to process. Do note that we only accept cheque deposits in USD. IG Asia Pte Ltd reserves the right to return funds back to source for any cheque deposit made in SGD. We may also require additional documents for verification in order to return the funds back to source. Clients will be notified when this is required
• Cashier's Orders are accepted only if debited from our client's bank account

1The Proof of Payment feature is available after the first initial funding and trade. When funding for the first time, clients need to wait for funds to clear, and need not send us proof of payment unless funding by cheque.

The following details must be shown on all proof of payments submitted for them to be accepted:

• Date of transfer
• Amount transferred
• Transaction shows that payment is made to IG Asia Pte Ltd from your bank account
• Transaction Reference Number
• Indication of your IG account number

The Proof of Payment facility is subjected to approval and is not instantaneous. Our Credit Team endeavours to book the funds for approved Proof of Payments promptly and accurately. Clients are advised to upload their Proof of Payments via the web trading platform to avoid possible delays in fund allocations.

Note that you may incur costs and experience delays if you fund and withdraw in a currency other than the base currency of your account.

Please note that the proof of payment facility should not be used to cover Saturday and Sunday trading or on days when IG’s payments processing is not available. If in doubt, contact the helpdesk to confirm availability.

There is also a minimum funding amount required to use our proof of payment credit facility. You can see the thresholds in the table below. Please note that these changes apply for pre-funding accounts only, any funding below the minimum will be allocated to your account when the funds reach IG’s bank account.
