How do I transfer my shares to a sub-account, spouse, or relative?

  • To transfer or gift shares between IG accounts, download and complete the relevant form found below. Please note we require a wet signature from both the parties (Receiving and Delivering) - electronic signatures will not be accepted.
  • Internal transfer form (PDF) for non-ISA and non-SIPP shares, ETFs and ETCs between spouses, relatives, or civil partners. A clear scanned and signed copy can be emailed to giatransfers@ig.com  for processing. We do not accept the forms sent via post.
  • Kindly ensure that the negative cash balance is cleared on the transferor’s account to proceed with the transfer.
  • If the transfer includes US stocks, W-8BEN must be updated on the receiving account as well.
