How do the rebates work?
We work out your rebate using the following calculation:
(GBP million notional traded) x (rebate per million traded) = your rebate
Based on the notional value traded for the month, you’d fall into one of our five rebate tiers. Your rebate would then be calculated as a fixed payment per million traded, with differing rebates per asset class.
If you were to trade a total notional value of £100 million for the month, you’d fall into tier four. This would qualify for a rebate of £5 per million on indices, £7 on forex, £22 on energies and £12 on gold. ‘See rebate table above.’
The rebate per asset class would be calculated as follows:
Your total rebate for the calendar month would be £1055.
Note: cash rebates don't apply to institutional/IG Prime clients.
When will I receive my rebate?
Rebates for each month will be paid into your IG account on or about the 3rd working day of the month. You'll get an email confirmation, and you’ll be able to see the rebate in your ledger.
How do I qualify for a cash rebate?
All you need is an IG professional account. You’ll automatically qualify for a rebate if you meet certain thresholds of notional value each month.
