If you satisfy either of the below tests, you may be eligible.
Wealth test:
You must meet both of the following criteria:
- You have a minimum of four quarters’ leverage trading experience during which you have placed, on average, at least 15 trades per quarter within the last 5 years or you have held a professional position in the financial services sector that required experience of derivatives trading for at least 12 months, AND
- You have net assets exceeding A$2.5 million or annual income exceeding A$250,000
Experience test:
You must meet both of the following criteria:
- You have 4 quarters' leverage derivatives trading experience during which you have placed, on average, at least 15 trades per quarter in qualifying size* or you have held a professional position in the financial services sector that required experience of derivatives trading for at least 12 months, AND
- You have income exceeding A$100,000 or savings and investments exceeding A$500,000, AND
- You pass a short knowledge assessment to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of leveraged products as part of the application process
*'Qualifying size' means opening notional size per trade >$20,000 for equities or >$100,000 for Indices, FX or Commodities; OR Total notional size of all trading (opening & closing) per quarter > $1m for equities or $5m for Indices, FX or Commodities.
