Refer up to five friends to trade shares or CFDs with us and receive up to AU$500 per friend, up to a total of AU$2,500.
For a limited time only between 1 October and 29 November 2024, if you successfully refer two Active Referrals1, you will also receive a free 12-month Bloomberg.com subscription, valued at $299.

How can I start making referrals?
Log in to My IG , click on the ‘Settings’ tab and select ‘Refer a Friend’ from the menu
Share the unique referral link with your friends
Receive AU$500 for each friend that successfully opens a CFD account and completes all the necessary requirements3 or receive AU$100 for each friend that successfully opens a share trading account and completes all the necessary requirements3. After your second successful referral, you will receive a free 12 month Bloomberg.com subscription.
Once each of your referees have completed their qualifying trades2 they too will receive a free 12 month Bloomberg.com subscription.

If your friend opens both a CFD account and a Share Trading account with us, your friend will be considered to be an ‘active referral’ only in relation to whichever account they place five qualifying trades in first, and subject to any other restrictions outlined in the Terms & Conditions, which can be found here.
When referring friends to trade CFDs with us, please remember that CFDs are high risk products and not appropriate for everyone. Please ensure your friends are within IG's target market by referring to our Target Market Determination available on our website before sharing the referral link with them.
What are the requirements?
For you (the Referrer)
- You must have an active CFD or Share Trading account with us
- You’ll need a Share Trading account to receive your reward
- You must be an individual and direct Client of IG
- You must have an existing relationship with the individual you will be referring
Your friend (the Referee)
- Must be an individual who is 18 years old or over
- Your friend must be a new client to IG (not having previously held an account with IG or any other IG group company)
- Must open a Share Trading or CFD account with IG through the unique URL shared by you
- Make five ‘qualifying trades’2 of any product within 6 months of being referred
Within 90 days of one or more of your friends completing their 5 qualifying trades, you’ll receive trading credit credited to your IG Share Trading account.

When will I receive my reward?
You’ll receive your AU$500 or AU$100 trading credit in your IG Share Trading account within 90 days of your friend completing their 5 qualifying trades on their CFD account or share trading account.
How do I check my referral status?
Once your friend has signed up for an account, you’ll receive an email notifying you that you’re in the referral scheme. After this, you can log in to MyIG from your desktop, click on the ‘settings’ tab at the top of the page and select ‘refer a friend’ to view your referral status. You’ll also receive an email once your friend has successfully opened a live account.
Will the referral expire?
Yes. Once any of your friends opens an account, they have six months to make their five qualifying trades.
How do I claim a referral reward?
Your referral reward will be credited automatically into your IG Share Trading account up to 90 days after your friend has completed their 5 qualifying trades.
How long can I get double RAF rewards for?
From 1 October 2024 to 29 November 2024
My friend has opened an account before the Double RAF rewards period but hasn’t completed their 5 trades. Am I still eligible for double rewards?
Yes, if your friend completes their 5 qualifying trades before the end of the promotion period, you will be eligible for double rewards.
If my friend opens an account during the promotion period but doesn’t complete their 5 trades until after the promotion period, am I still eligible for the Double Rewards?
No, your friend must complete their 5 trades during the promotion period for you to be eligible for double rewards.
What if I’ve referred more than two friends in the past, can I refer again? Will I get a Bloomberg.com subscription?
Yes, you can refer up to 5 referees for the life of your account. If you successfully refer two Active Referrals1 during this promotion period, you will be eligible for a free 12-month Bloomberg.com subscription.
I’ve completed my two successful referrals, when will I receive my Bloomberg.com subscription?
At the end of each month, we will determine who is eligible for a free Bloomberg.com subscription and send it to the email address linked to their account.
Can I get more than one Bloomberg.com subscription if I refer more people?
No, there is a maximum of one Bloomberg.com subscription per referrer.
What does a Bloomberg.com subscription include?
Your 12 month subscription gives you unlimited digital access to Bloomberg.com and the Bloomberg app, subscriber-only content and newsletters, live radio, podcasts and narrated articles and Bloomberg TV streaming 24/7. See more information on Bloomberg’s subscriptions here.
Is there a time limit to claim the credits I’ve earned?
No, there is no time limit or expiry for all the trading credits you’ve earned.
I have a restriction on my account. Can I still refer a friend?
No, if any restrictions apply to your account or the account of your friend, the referral will not qualify until the restrictions have been lifted. Any restrictions that apply to an account will be notified to the account holder by email. The referral will not qualify as an active referral if your account or the account of your friend is closed for any reason.
Can I get my reward paid to my IG CFD account?
No, rewards awarded under the promotion will be credited to your Share Trading account only. We will not credit rewards to your CFD account.
Can I refer friends for both share trading and CFDs?
Yes, but you will only be rewarded for the first 5 successful referrals, whatever they may be.
