US daylight saving time (DST) and British summer time (BST)

Friday 14, 21 and 28 March 2025 FX markets, commodities, 24-hour index markets and the dealing desk will close at 9pm
New York Cocoa, Sugar and Coffee and London Sugar all close an hour earlier
Any expiring US markets will be settled an hour earlier than usual
Saturday 15, 22 and 29 March 2025 Cryptocurrencies and weekend markets will open at 8am
Sunday 9, 16 and 23 March 2025 FX markets will open at 9pm
FX markets on the MT4 platform will open at 10pm
24-hour index markets will open at 10pm
Friday 18 April 2025 European and US equity markets will be closed

The VIX closes early at 4.30pm and reopens at 11pm.

UK Markets

UK equity markets and index futures will be closed. We will offer out-of-hours pricing on the FTSE 100.
UK commodities are closed, apart from Brent Crude, Heating Oil and London Gas Oil futures which close early at 6.30pm.
UK interest rates and bonds will be closed.

 

Juneteenth

Thursday 19 June 2025 Brent Crude and Gas Oil futures close early at 6.30pm
US index futures will close early at 6pm. We’ll offer out-of-hours pricing from 6pm until futures reopens at 11pm

Independence Day

Thursday 3 July US equities close early at 6pm. All Sessions shares will be available to trade until 10pm.

Friday 4 July US equities and soft commodities are closed

UK Summer Bank Holiday

Monday 25 August 2025 UK equities, index futures, soft commodities and interest rates will be closed.
We’ll be making an out-of-hours price on the FTSE 100 until futures re-open at 1am on Tuesday
Brent Crude and London Gas Oil will be open as normal. UK Natural Gas futures will be closed.
New York Cocoa, Coffee and Sugar contracts will open at 12.30pm

 

US Labor Day

Monday 1 September 2025 US index futures close early at 6pm. We’ll offer out-of-hours pricing from 6pm until futures reopens at 11pm.
US and Canadian equities, and soft commodities will be closed
US interest rates will close early at 6pm
US metals and energies will close early at 7.30pm
Brent Crude, London Gas Oil and ICE WTI will close early at 6.30pm
London Sugar will close early at 5pm
The VIX will close early at 4.30pm

 

Thanksgiving

Thursday 27 November 2025 US equity markets are closed.
US index futures close early at 6pm. We’ll offer out-of-hours prices on Wall Street, US 500, US Tech 100 and US Russell 2000 until index futures reopen at 11pm.
The Volatility Index (VIX) closes early at 4.30pm and reopens at 11pm.
Brent Crude, London Gas Oil and UK Nat Gas will close early at 6.30pm.
US rates close at 6pm.
US metals and energies will close early at 7.30pm.
US soft commodities are closed.
London Sugar closes early at 5pm.

Black Friday

Friday 28 November 2025 US equity markets close early at 6pm, and there’ll be no post-market trading

The Volatility Index (VIX) closes early at 6.15pm.
Brent Crude, London Gas Oil and UK Nat Gas will close at 7pm.
US rates and the US Dollar Index close at 6.15pm.
US metals and energies will close early at 6.45pm.
New York Cotton opens late at 1pm. New York Cotton and Orange Juice close early at 6.30pm.
Normal trading hours on New York Sugar, New York Coffee and New York Cocoa.
US grain futures open late at 2.30pm and close early at 6.05pm.
Lumber trades from 3pm to 6.05pm, and Livestock trades from 2.30pm to 6.05pm.
The futures desk and all 24-hour indices close at 9pm, and FX closes at 10pm.

Grains and livestock reopen at 2.30pm.

Wednesday 31 December 2025

UK equities close early at 12.30pm.

Gilts and 3m-SONIA stop trading at 12.15pm.

The FTSE 100 Index will be quoted out-of-hours from 12.50pm.

Brent Crude, ICE WTI, London Gas Oil close at 8pm.

UK and EU natural gas stop trading at 5pm.

London Cocoa closes at 4.55pm, Robusta Coffee at 5.30pm, and London Sugar at 6pm.

Thursday 1 January 2026 All markets are closed. FX markets reopen at 9pm. Out-of-hours markets, US rates, US metals, US energies and the VIX reopen at 11pm
