Daily statement
A daily statement provides a summary of the trading activity that’s taken place on an account in a day – if there’s been any. It’s automatically generated (in PDF format) and sent to your registered email address on the following working day.
You can also find daily statements under My IG > ‘live accounts’ > ‘statements’ > ‘daily’.
A daily statement won’t be generated if there hasn’t been any activity on the account on that day.
We’re legally required to send these statements to our clients, so you won’t be able to opt out of receiving them.
Monthly statement
A monthly statement shows all the activity on your account for the previous month, along with a snapshot of your portfolio on the final day of the month.
If you’ve asked us to set up monthly statements for you, these statements will be automatically generated and sent to your registered email address on the first day of the following month – even if there’s been no activity (ie no cash or open positions) on the account.
You can also find monthly statements under My IG > ‘live accounts’ > ‘statements’ > ‘monthly’.
Annual statement
CFD account holders will automatically receive an annual statement, only if there has been account activity in the year. The statement will include all commissions and charges paid as well as the total profit or loss for the year. It won’t, however, include any corporate actions or a snapshot of the portfolio at the end of the fiscal year.
Share trading account holders who’ve received dividends during the fiscal year will receive an annual income statement. This statement doesn’t include trading activity on the account. If you’d like to calculate capital gains, you’ll need to generate a ledger summary under My IG > ‘live accounts’ > ‘history’.
