How do I open a TradingView account with IG?

  1. You’ll first need an active TradingView account (the free version is sufficient). If you don’t have one, you can create a free account here
  2. Log in to your TradingView account, go to the ‘trading panel’ tab on the platform
  3. Choose IG as your broker and you’ll be directed to open an IG account or connect your already-activated IG account

How do I fund my TradingView account and withdraw from it?

Will I have a different username for TradingView?

Yes, your TradingView username will be separate from your IG login details, so be sure to keep both credentials secure. Note that when logging into IG through the TradingView platform, you’ll need to use your IG login details.

What should I do if the TradingView platform isn’t working?

What price is shown on TradingView charts for IG?

The price displayed on TradingView charts is based on the bid price. This includes both the current and historical data. Although TradingView mainly shows bid prices, you can add an indicative ask price line to your chart. To do this:

  1. Right-click on the chart
  2. Go to ‘settings’
  3. Navigate to ‘scales and lines’
  4. Select the option to display the ‘bid and ask’ lines

Can I manage TradingView trades on the IG trading platform?

Trades placed on TradingView can be viewed and managed on our platform and vice versa. However, if a market is available on our platform but not on TradingView, it won’t appear on TradingView’s charts or in its ‘positions’ panel.
