Why are my IG charts not working?

If your IG charts are not working, try the following:

Old platform

You can avoid many of the issues associated with charts in our old platform by switching to the new IG Trading platform.

However, if you’re using the old platform and your charts are not loading, try enabling Flash for the IG.com website.

To do this in Google Chrome, log in and right-click on ‘IG Group Limited’ then ‘site settings’ from the address bar.

Please note: in the latest Chrome update (v69 onwards), you are required to enable Flash explicity every time you wish to use the plugin. Chrome no longer remembers the setting between browser sessions. Therefore you will need to repeat the below steps every time you use the old platform.

On the ‘Flash’ drop-down menu, select ‘Allow.’

Go back to the Chrome tab that has the IG platform open, and on the top left, click ‘Reload.’

Try opening a chart to see if this has resolved the issue.

If charts are still not working, try the following:

  1. Check our platform status page to ensure that our charts are up and running
  2. Open your chart in a different web browser. For example, if you usually use Microsoft Edge, try Google Chrome. We recommend Chrome as a default browser
  3. Clear your browser cache. On Chrome, click the options button in the top right-hand corner of the browser, then ‘more tools’ then ‘clear browsing data’
  4. In the ‘time range’ drop-down choose ‘all time’, and only tick ‘cached images and files’ from the options underneath. Then, click ‘clear data’
  5. Clear your Flash cache by clicking on this link and selecting ‘delete all sites’ in the website settings storage panel towards the top of the screen
  6. Make sure that your Flash player settings are correct, depending on whether or not you have a 32- or 64-bit computer. This link will provide you with the correct software
