Russell Burns has been a sales trader working on predominantly the Japanese, Asia and Australian equity markets for 25 years. He has worked for leading global investment banks.

Based in London for most of his career, he also lived in Tokyo for three years, running a proprietary trading book for Credit Suisse. He has experience trading stocks, futures and options. Russell also set up and managed a long/short Japan hedge fund while based in London.

Russell still works as a salesperson looking at all Asian equities and is an active trader and PA investor. Russell has written for Finimize and creates insights on a variety of asset classes including stocks, bonds and commodity across global markets.

His education includes:

- An MBA from City University (now called Bayes Business School) with a focus on financials
- Technical Analysis course at City University (now called Bayes)
- A diploma in Financial Advice (DipFA) Level 4 in 2020
