L2 Dealer is free to download. However, depending on the exchange you wish to view or trade on, you may be liable to pay that exchange's data usage fees.

How does DMA work?
Our DMA service allows you to trade on underlying market prices and depth, but what you’ll actually receive on placing a trade is a CFD from us. It works like this:
- DMA displays the best bid and offer price available for a particular market, plus further prices on either side of the order book
- You place an order, and we instantaneously conduct a margin check to ensure you have sufficient funds to cover the margin on your proposed trade
- If the margin check is satisfied we place an order in the market and, at the same time, create a parallel CFD between you and us
So while you’re trading at market prices, you won’t gain any ownership rights over the equities or currencies that form the subject of your CFD.
How do I get it?
To start trading with L2 Dealer, you need to follow these steps:
If you only hold a spread betting account with us and would like to open a CFD account, log in to My IG, go to the ‘live accounts’ tab and click ‘add another account’.
Register for L2 dealer
Already registered?
Download and install L2 Dealer using the link below.
Once you have installed the application, you can log in with your usual details.
Please note you will be unable to log into the platform unless you have registered for L2 access.
Technical requirements
Microsoft .NET framework
L2 Dealer requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installed on your computer.
When you install L2 Dealer the program will automatically check for this, and prompt you to install the .NET framework if required.
If you would prefer to install the .NET framework independently, it can be downloaded from Microsoft here.
Alternatively you can go to your computer’s Windows Update page (accessed from your Start menu or at Windows Update) and select .NET from the options in the ‘optional updates’ section.
