When trading with us, you need to be aware of the risk of being closed out pre-and post-market. This is especially true of extended hours shares traders who may be closed out by margin call or stops triggered. This would expose traders to gapping if no guaranteed stop is in place.

11am to 3am Monday to Thursday, and 11am to 12pm Friday.
Indices
Harness index volatility from 1am on Monday until 12pm on Friday. On weekends, deal on FTSE 100, Wall Street, Germany 40 and HS50 from 9am Saturday to 11.40pm Sunday.
Forex
Take a position on over 80 major, minor and exotic FX pairs from 11pm on Sunday to 12am Friday night. Our exclusive GBP/USD market is available from 9am Saturday to 9.40pm Monday.

Out-of-hours trading refers to any trading that takes place outside of regular underlying market hours. Different opportunities present themselves out-of-hours, and we can give you access to them. What markets can I trade out-of-hours with IG?
With us, you can trade extended hours on shares, and out-of-hours on indices and forex.
What trading times are included in out-of-hours trading?
Out-of-hours trading refers to any trading that occurs outside of regular underlying market hours.
How does IG price its out-of-hours markets?
We make our own prices for indices out-of-hours and at weekends, plus for weekend forex markets.
We do this based on underlying futures with our own markets being priced outside of this. Underlying market conditions usually take into account volatility, client activity and news flow.
Our extended hours on shares are based on those from NYSE and NASDAQ.
