Bitcoin surges up to 22% above $5,000
The world’s largest and most popular crypto-currency, Bitcoin has climbed to its highest level since November on Tuesday.

Bitcoin climbed as much as 23% to $5,078.52 at time of writing, lifting its rival coins Ether, Ripple and Litecoin.
Bitcoin’s market capitalization has risen to $5.1 billion, currently sitting at $78.8 billion, marking its largest amount since November 22, 2018.
The climb comes as crypto-currencies have lessened in popularity this year, after investors saw a 74% crash in 2018.
Analysts say the sudden climb wasn't due to one single factor, but could have been for a number of reasons.
The value of digital asset as tracked by CoinMarketCap.com was up an estimated $17 billion in less than an hour and briefly lifted Bitcoin above $5,000.
