Wall Street rally continues but Apple lawsuit relief barely moves the needle
Despite a rise to new all-time record highs across much of Wall Street on Wednesday, one of the big stock stories gave only the smallest relief to the recent declines in Apple.
Apple wins its appeal, resumes Apple Watch sales
Apple won its appeal to resume sales of its smartwatches. The ITC had previously ruled that Apple had infringed the patents of Masimo, a company specialising in medical monitoring. Masimo has accused Apple of hiring away its employees to steal its pulse oximetry technology and incorporate it into Apple Watches. Apple countersued, saying that Masimo was manoeuvring to clear a path for its own smartwatches.
Masimo shares drop
Masimo declined to comment on the court decision. Its shares fell 4.6% in yesterday's session.
