In the UK, they must be recognised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Recognised investment exchanges are listed on the FCA's Financial Services Register. Examples include the London Stock Exchange (LSE), London Metal Exchange, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), Better Alternative Trading System (BATS) and Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).
