Affiliate Partnerships Programme - FAQs

Affiliate partnerships are where you will promote a brand or companies products or services and earn a commission when one of your referred visitors completes an agreed action – like signing up for a service. We have more information on our page about Getting Started.

No, unlike other companies IG does not require you to have a website in order to apply to our programme. However, you must have some primary web presence which we can review – so this might be your YouTube channel or Instagram account. If we think your account would be better suited to our influencer programme we will refer you internally to the right team.

No, the IG affiliate programme is completely free. You do not need to pay anything to be an affiliate with us.

You’ll be able to see the flow of referred traffic within the reporting on the affiliate management platform. You can count the number of clicks, accounts started, accounts completed, number of deposits made and number of trades. However you will not be able to see an individual visitors stage of qualification, this is to ensure privacy for all IG clients.

Unfortunately not, to ensure that you’re only promoting countries or IG websites which allow affiliate marketing we must control where all of the links in our affiliate programme are landing. This is part of how IG manages part of our regulatory requirements.

No. During the sign up process you will be asked to choose an affiliate account currency and this will be the payout currency for your account. It cannot be changed without making a new account. You will need to contact Impact support to have your outstanding commission balance transferred.

Referred clients may take up to 24 hours to appear in the platform, but most should appear within 1 hour of being referred. If the client doesn’t appear then it is possible that the client was not able to be qualified – this usually occurs because they refused to be tracked. In these cases IG will validate the tracking setup is working correctly and if the tracking solution is found to be at fault we will organise a compensation payment. It is the responsibility of our affiliates to ensure they are using their tracking link on their website – traffic from no other links to IG will be trackable or payable.
