Complete the application form
You only need a few minutes to fill in the application form to create your account.
We'll ask you about your personal details, your financial circumstance, and your previous trading history.
We require these to help us meet regulatory requirements and ensure our products are suitable for you. Rest assured this information is for IG's use only, and not shared with third-parties.
Appropriateness assessment
To ensure our products are suitable for your trading, we require that all our clients complete a quiz to assess thier trading knowledge.
The short quiz is made up of a set of multi-choice questions and will only take a few minutes to complete. If you haven't completed it already, you'll find the quiz in MyIG.
To support you in developing your trading knowledge we offer a range of resources including IG Academy and educational content.
Upload documents
We can typically complete ID verification as part of your application process - you'll be notified if we require any further information to activate your account.
