How do I open an MT4 account with IG?
I don’t have MT4
- Create a live IG account or a demo MT4 account
- Log in to your My IG dashboard – from the IG platform, you’ll find it in the top right of your screen
- Select ‘add an account’ at the bottom right of the window
- Decide whether you want to trade CFDs on MT4
- Follow the on-screen prompts
I already have MT4
If you already have an MT4 account with another provider but would like to trade with IG, you will need to create a live IG account before you can trade with us. After you have set up a live IG account, you will then need to set up and fund a live IG MT4 account before you can access our MT4 CFD offering.
However, you can then log into your pre-existing MT4 platform with your IG credentials, which will preserve all of your chart data and analysis.
