How to connect your IG account to TradingView
Once you have signed up for a free TradingView account on their website, search for your preferred market, open its chart and follow the steps below.

Go to TradingView site
Create a free TradingView user profile.
Go to the IG broker profile page
When in the IG broker profile, click the Trade button. In the login panel, enter your IG account credentials.
You can now start trading directly from the TradingView charts.

Is IG available as a TradingView broker?
Yes, IG is available as a TradingView broker. You can link the account you have with us to TradingView by visiting their website, creating a free account, opening the market you’re interested in, and clicking on ‘trading panel’. From there, you can select IG as your broker.
Can I trade on TradingView with an IG account?
Yes, you can trade on TradingView with an IG account. First, link the two accounts by following the steps under ‘How to integrate TradingView with an IG account’. Following the link-up, you’ll be able to use TradingView on your account with us to perform in-depth analysis on the markets you follow.
Can I link my TradingView and IG accounts?
Yes, you can link your TradingView and IG accounts. If you don’t have an account with us yet, you can open one within minutes. If you already have an account with us, link it to TradingView by visiting their website, creating a free account, opening the market you’re interested in and clicking on ‘trading panel’. From there, you can select IG as your broker and log in to start trading.
Please note that you will not be able to fund your IG account through TradingView. You must login to the IG platform to deposit, withdraw or transfer funds to/from your account.
How can I trade on TradingView with IG?
To trade on TradingView with IG, you first need to have an account with us. If you don’t have one, you can apply for one within minutes. Then, you’d need to select IG as your broker on the TradingView website. Visit the website, open the market of your choice, click on ‘trading panel’ and choose IG from the list of brokers. Once you’ve done this and logged into your IG account, you can trade on TradingView with us.
Is TradingView better than MT4?
Whether or not TradingView is better than MT4 will depend on the type of third-party platform you’re looking for. TradingView is a powerful charting platform, and social network for traders. MetaTrader 4 has a strong algorithmic trading focus. With us, you can use both TradingView and MT4.
Is an IG account free?
Yes, an IG account is free to open, and you don’t have to deposit any funds until you’re ready to do so. Certain withdrawals are free, check with us if you’re unsure. Other costs to consider are trading fees and commissions, which apply when you open, hold or close a position. We also offer a free demo account that you can use to hone your skills and experience our web trading platform in a reduced-risk environment.
How much does it cost to trade with IG?
The cost to trade with us will depend on various factors, such as the size of your position, the spread in the underlying market, the duration of your trade, and currency conversion charges – to name a few.
Can I view all of my open positions on TradingView and the IG platform?
Our web-based platform and trading apps will display all your open positions, including those that there were placed through TradingView. Any working orders, and attached stops and limits placed through TradingView will also display on the IG platforms.
Only a subset of IG’s CFD markets are available on TradingView. If you hold positions on markets that are not offered on TradingView, you will only be able to view and manage these positions through the IG platforms.
