Changes to trading hours

UK and European clocks will go back one hour when daylight saving time (DST) ends on Sunday, 27 October 2024. The UK time zone will change from BST to GMT.

Until Sunday, 3 November 2024, when US DST ends, our opening hours will be affected. The US time zone will change from EDT to EST.

The below times are listed in AEDT.

Monday 28 October (BST ends, GMT begins in the UK)

  • All forex markets will open at 8am on Monday 28 October and close at 8am on Saturday 2 November
  • 24-hour trading on indices will open at 9am on Monday 28 October and close at 8am on Saturday 2 November
  • Weekend trading will open at 7pm Saturday. FX will close at 07.40 on Monday but indices will close one hour earlier at 08:40 on Monday
  • Overnight funding (tom-next) adjustments for FX pairs will apply to positions held through 8am, the next day
  • All markets will close at 8am on Saturday 2 November

Monday 4 November (EDT ends, EST starts in the US)

  • All forex markets will open at 8am on Monday 4 November and close at 9am on Saturday 9 November
  • 24-hour trading on indices will open at 10am on Monday 4 November and close at 9am on Saturday 9 November
  • US and Canadian markets will be quoted between 1.30am and 8am
  • CFD trading on US shares (all sessions) will run from 8pm to 12pm Monday to Thursday, and from 8pm on Friday 8 November to 9am on Saturday 9 November
  • Share trading (non-leveraged) on US shares (all sessions) will run from 11pm to 9.30am Monday to Thursday, and from 11pm on Friday 8 November to 9am on Saturday 9 November
  • Weekend trading will open at 7pm Saturday. FX will close at 07.40 on Monday. Indices will close at 09:40 on Monday
  • Overnight funding (tom-next) adjustments for FX pairs will apply to positions held through 9am, the next day
  • All markets will close at 9am on Saturday 9 November

Digital 100s: pay attention to the expiry times of US and Asian digital 100s, as the proximity to expiry has a large bearing on the price quoted. You can check these on our platform via the 'information' section in the deal ticket. Digital 100s are only available to professional clients.
